Sign up on this page for our April session of “Make Your Own Charcuterie Board,” which we’re hosting with Shindig Catering. Class is two days, April 22 and 23, 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. each day.

Come learn to make your own charcuterie board at Lowell’s Boat Shop! During the first meeting we’ll talk about wood selection, and then plane, shape and glue/clamp our boards. On the second night we’ll work on any last details, then sand and finish the boards with oil. Bethany Scalise from Shindig Events and Catering will then give a demonstration on how to set up an aesthetically pleasing board that will impress your guests.
Charcuterie Demo: Bethany Scalise and husband Sean Ryan launched Shindig Events and Catering in Newburyport in 2012. Bethany and Sean have a passion for food, wine, parties and bringing people together. Sean started his career as a chef and his greatest joy is spending time in the kitchen with family and friends. Bethany is a planner at heart and loves helping others plan and host their dream events. Bethany and Sean are passionate about the mission of Lowell’s Boat Shop and support LBS through fundraising events throughout the year.
